STEPS FOR CHRIST is a Christian Based Hiking Group Who Hikes from Town to Town doing Missionary Work once a Year Raising Funds for a Cause Identified by Board members of STEPS FOR CHRIST.
Fundraising is done by Sponsoring The Hikers R50 per Kilometre and other Donations.
Everyone Can Join us on This Missionary expedition Changing lives and bringing Jesus back in to the Homes of the People.

Our recent camp Vioolsdrift Bushwacked Outdoor Adventure was an enriching experience filled with diverse activities and important discussions. Over the course of three days, participants engaged in team-building games, storytelling around the campfire, and thought-provoking sessions. Topics covered included social risk assessment, environmental affairs, and personal growth. From ice breakers to exploring the connection between Jesus and Moses, the camp offered a mix of spiritual, educational, and recreational activities. Highlights included a session on healing through art, discussions on social media risks, and financial planning insights. The camp concluded with a visit to Tutfe, leaving participants with new relationships, valuable knowledge, and lasting memories.

Our collaboration with local stakeholders, including SEDA and various State Departments, aims to instill Christian values in youth, preventing issues like substance abuse, crime, teenage pregnancies, and school dropouts. Through partnerships with organisations like the Department of Agriculture and SEDA Springbok branch, we introduce youth to farming, business opportunities, and related services.
We involve local professionals in our Career Pathing program and invite businessmen for guidance. The South African Police Services ensure safety and conduct Drug Awareness programs. By working with Child Care Centres, we address the needs of vulnerable youth, offering a holistic approach that includes financial education through engagement with local banks.
Youth attending our camps are sourced from local towns, schools, social media platforms, and child care centers. The age range typically spans from 12 to 19 years, although it may vary for each program.
- We provide Impact Weekend Camps as well as 7-day Camps.
- Our Camps usually consist of 2-3 presentations a day by the StepsForChrist Team or Stakeholders, blended with educational games and problem-solving exercises.
- We also ensure active participation of kids in day-to-day tasks, dividing them into teams for specific roles like Food Preparation, Camera Work, Cleaning, and Setting up of Tents.
