    The first hike

    Five friends, five towns in four days. The money sent a young man to Bible school in Knysna.

    From Alexander Bay, through a sandstorm. 28 km in one day from Sanddrift to Khoeboes.

    Our first Bible camp, for boys from every small town in our area. Bushwacked, Vioolsdrift.

Why we walk

Good Christian values give young people a better chance. A chance against drugs and crime. Against teenage pregnancy and dropping out of school. We walk so our young ones find hope, a new sense of purpose, and a place in their community.

A week at camp

  1. Stop 1 of 6

    Welcome to camp

    Weekend impact camps and 7-day camps near the river at Vioolsdrift. Ages 12 to 17.

  2. Stop 2 of 6

    Pitch your tent

    Everybody is on a team. The tent team sets up camp before dark.

  3. Stop 3 of 6

    Open the Word

    Two or three talks a day. The Bible, careers, money, and drug awareness.

  4. Stop 4 of 6

    Feed the camp

    The food team plans it, cooks it and serves it. Nobody goes hungry.

    Games and colour

    Games that make you think. And colour. A lot of colour. The camera team films it all.

    Around the fire

    Every day ends at the fire. Stories, questions, and time with God under the stars.
