STEPS FOR CHRIST is a Registered NPC (Non Profit Company) Non-denominational Christian based Hiking group which is dedicated to do the will of God. Each year we hike from town to town to spread THE GOOD NEWS and also to raise funds for a certain cause. In 2017 we hiked to raise money for a young man to attend a bible school in Knysna. The mission was a huge success, as we managed to hike through and evangelize 5 towns in 4 days, and raised enough money to cover the studies of the young man.

In 2018 we were at it again and took on the tough Richtersveld and hiked 74km, evangelizing 5 towns in 3 days to raise money for a successful Bible Camp, which we held in May of 2019. The Bible Camp was a huge success as we took ten boys from each small town in our area to the camp held at Bushwacked in Vioolsdrift. On 25-28 September 2019 we had another successful hike through the Namaqua Region and covered 5 towns and hiked 69km in 3 days.

Our aim is to incorporate good Christian values into our youth and by doing so, we stand a better chance to prevent substance abuse and crime amongst our youth as well as other social issues like teenage pregnancies, school dropouts and the spread of HIV amongst the youth and also early detection and intervention in social problems. Giving Hope to our young ones and igniting a new sense of purpose and creating functional members of society.
